This year the Festival Sonore has gathered in Montreal more than 50 exhibitors from Canada, the United States and Europe. The second edition of this festival, which took place on September 21, 22 and 23, allowed amateur and professional musicians to discover the richness and diversity of high-end guitars, effects pedals and handmade amps that were on display.

Born out of the initiative of three Montreal luthiers, Joël Barbeau, Florian Bouyou and myself, the Festival Sonore is a place that promotes the meeting between musicians and artisans. Exhibitors offer a singular experience to musicians who see acoustic and electric guitars, and effects pedals and amplifiers under one roof. Soundproof cabins available to festival-goers allow the discovery of these unique instruments.
